Common workflows
- Product research — export reviews of a product you're considering selling on Amazon to validate the category and spot common complaints.
- Competitor analysis — pull reviews of your top 3 competitors' bestsellers, count complaints by category.
- Listing optimisation — feed your own product's reviews into ChatGPT to surface the top 5 buyer concerns. Address them in your A+ Content / FAQ.
- Negative-review triage — filter
rating ≤ 2and route to your customer-success team via Zapier or webhook. - UGC content — pull 5-star reviews with images for your testimonial gallery (subject to Amazon's UGC ToS — get reviewer permission).
- Brand-listening — set up scheduled weekly exports for all your ASINs so new reviews are auto-piped to your CRM.
Verified vs unverified, Vine, and review fraud
Amazon flags reviews from confirmed buyers with "Verified Purchase". The export's verified_purchase column lets you filter — useful when triaging review-bombing waves. Amazon Vine reviewers (paid-with-product reviewers) are flagged separately in vine. Both flags help you assess review authenticity without pulling them into a separate dataset.
About review timestamps
Amazon doesn't expose hour/minute precision on its public review surface — only the date ("Reviewed on January 15, 2024"). The created_at column is date-only. For exact timestamps, use Amazon's official Brand Analytics if you have access — but our date-level granularity is sufficient for trend charts (reviews per day / week / month).
