Why a separate viewer instead of TikTok itself
TikTok's mobile and web comment panel is a small overlay that loses your scroll position the moment you tap a profile or close the app to multitask. On a viral video with hundreds of thousands of comments, finding a specific username or @mention by scrolling is impossible. This viewer flattens the entire comment thread onto one searchable page.
What you can do that you can't on TikTok itself
- Cmd/Ctrl-F search any keyword, hashtag, or @mention across the full thread.
- Sort by like count — find the comments the audience actually rallied around, not just the most recent.
- Filter by replies / top-level / @mention — useful for giveaway entry verification.
- See the comment's permalink — TikTok hides the per-comment URL in its UI; we surface it.
- Copy or export — one click sends the thread to your clipboard or to an Excel/CSV file.
About TikTok rate limits
TikTok throttles anonymous comment reads. Small videos with a few thousand comments usually load in minutes; very large or viral videos take longer because we have to walk every page without tripping anti-scrape signals. You can close the tab — we email you when the export is ready.
For private / login-walled videos
Some TikTok videos are restricted to logged-in viewers. Those aren't accessible without authentication. The public viewer reads exactly what an unauthenticated browser would see.
